The JoAnn Deck Trust was established by JoAnn, herself, in 1998. Her daughter, Tammy L Deck, was named as Successor Trustee and is functioning in that capacity since JoAnn's death December 29, 2013.
It is Tammy's wish, through the trust, to preserve JoAnn's work and further her legacy and reputation. She wishes to curate exhibitions of JoAnn's work, photograph and document the pieces, assemble a book and fulfill JoAnn's wish to find buyers for her artwork.
A percentage of each work sold will be donated as a "JoAnn Deck Memorial" contribution to one of three professional art groups in which JoAnn was an active member: The Plainfield Art League, The Midwest Collage Society and the Professional Art Quilt Alliance. The remainder will be used to support Tammy's goal to maintain JoAnn's legacy and meet the ultimate responsibility of liquidating assets of the trust...not for profit.
